Kaitlin Tait Tabbed as the New Wildcat Cheer Coach
Culver-Stockton College Athletic Director Pat Atwell announced that Kaitlin Tait has been hired as the new head cheerleading coach.
Tait comes to Culver-Stockton after coaching the past two seasons at Truman State University in Kirksville. She is excited to take over the Wildcat program.
"I am very fortunate to have the opportunity to become part of Culver-Stockton College and help revitalize the cheerleading program," said Tait. "I look forward to helping the program expand into new opportunities while continuing to carry on the mission and values of Culver-Stockton College.
"Thank you to Culver-Stockton Athletic Director Pat Atwell for giving me the chance to bring my love and passion for the sport of cheer to a new program."
During her time at Truman, Tait helped transition the cheer team from a sideline to a competition team, rebuilding the entire cheer program during her first campaign. She will be asked to do the same with the Wildcat program.
"We are extremely excited to add Kaitlin Tait to our staff as the new Head Cheerleading Coach, Atwell said. "When the college made the strategic decision to elevate the cheer position to full-time, we envisioned finding someone with Kaitlin's expertise, enthusiasm and experience to lead our team. We think developing a competitive cheer program will enhance not only our game day experience but also the energy level on campus.
"Kaitlin has a great personality and with so many cheer quality cheer programs regionally we think this program has outstanding potential. We look forward to working with Kaitlin to help the cheer program grow."
Tait graduated from Truman State University with a bachelor's degree in fine arts. She is a native of Maysville, Mo.
