Connor Davis Named Heart Offensive Player of the Week

Culver-Stockton College junior Connor Davis has been named the Heart of America Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week, presented by WinWon, for his performance in two games last week.

Davis, a forward from Sycamore, Ill. (Neuqua Valley HS / Quincy University), averaged 31.5 points in the two games played by the Wildcats last week. Included in that total was a career-high 41 points in a 90-79 victory at William Penn (Iowa) on Jan. 29. In that game, Davis converted 14 of his 23 field goal attempts (4-10 on 3FGs) and was 9-for-10 from the free throw line.

For the week, which also included a 22-point performance against Park (Mo.) on Feb. 1, Davis shot 52.4 percent (22-42) from the field and 92.9 percent (13-14) from the foul line. He added 8.5 rebounds, including a double-double against William Penn, 2.5 assists and one steal per game.

The Wildcats are slated to host two games this week at Charles Field House. C-SC hosts Missouri Valley College on Monday, Feb. 3, and Clarke University on Wednesday, Feb. 5. Both games are scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m.
