Davis Scores 19 in Home Loss to Missouri Valley

The Culver-Stockton College men's basketball team shot 38.5 percent from the field in losing to Missouri Valley College 64-56 Wednesday night at Charles Field House.

The Wildcats, who have lost five straight games at home since defeating Benedictine College Dec. 17, trailed 29-23 at the intermission, shooting 37.5 percent from the floor. Defensively, C-SC held the Vikings to 38.7 percent but turned the ball over 17 times in the game, including 12 in the opening half.

Connor Davis, the reigning conference player of the week after averaging 31.5 points in two games last week, led the Wildcats with 19 points. Ryan Stevenson came off the bench to chip in with 13 markers, while Tai Walters-Whitaker garnered 11 points.

The Wildcats is scheduled to play their third home game in five days this Wednesday, Feb. 5, when they welcome Clarke University to Charles Field House. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m.
