Connor Davis Named Player of the Week for a Second Time

Culver-Stockton College junior forward Connor Davis (Sycamore, Ill. / Neuqua Valley HS / Quincy University) has been named the Heart of America Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week presented by WinWon, the league announced Monday afternoon.

Davis, who earned the honor for the second time this season, averaged 26.5 points in two games last week. Davis scored 24 points at Central Methodist on Wednesday, Feb. 19, before recording 29 points in the season finale at Missouri Valley on Feb. 22.

Davis shot 44.1 percent (15-34) from the field, including 54.5 percent (6-11) from beyond the 3-point mark, for the week. He also drained all 17 of his free throw attempts, including a 12-for-12 effort against Missouri Valley. In addition, Davis averaged three assists per game.

For the season, Davis won the league scoring title by averaging 20.5 points per game. He scored 574 total points, which is the 10th-highest single-season total in program history. Davis also shot 43.3 percent from the field overall and 38.2 percent from the 3-point arc while connecting on 85.7 percent of his free throw attempts. The 146 made free throws by Davis are the fourth highest single season total in school history.
