Men's Basketball Drops First Road Game of Season

The Culver-Stockton men's basketball team played its first road game of the season and the Wildcats were held to three 3-pointers in a 76-60 loss to Hannibal-LaGrange University Friday night at the Mabee Sports Complex in Hannibal, Mo.

The Wildcats were 3-for-15 and was outscored 33-9 from the 3-point stripe. C-SC made just 2 of 9 long range shots in the first half, and was 1-for-6 in the second half.

The Wildcats shot 39 percent overall from the field, making just 22 shots on 56 attempts. Meanwhile, the Trojans were 25-for-57 for 44 percent. HLG also out-rebounded the Wildcats 36-31.

Travis Green III, who scored a team high 28 points in his Wildcat debut on Tuesday, led C-SC with 16 points off the bench.  Damont Hanton and Damar Jenkins added 15 markers each. No other player had more than four points for the Wildcats.

Harrison Lewis grabbed a team-best eight rebounds, followed by Hanton who had seven caroms in the game.  

C-SC (0-2) will try to earn that first victory at home this Tuesday, Nov. 4, when they host Health Science and Pharmacy (UHSP) at Charles Field House. Tipoff is slated for 7:30 p.m.
