Men's Basketball Snaps Losing Skid with Victory over UHSP
The Culver-Stockton men's basketball team led for all by one minute, 28 seconds in ending a seven game-losing streak with a 77-72 non-conference victory over Health Sciences and Pharmacy (UHSP) Friday night at the UHSP Gymnasium in St. Louis, Mo.
The Wildcats shot 46 percent from the field, draining eight 3-pointers among their 27 field goals, as five different players reached double figures in the victory.
For the second straight game, Ramzi Salem came off the bench and led the Wildcat offensive attack with 14 points. Damar Jenkins, Kamren Wires and Harrison Lewis all recorded 11 markers, while Travis Green III contributed points in the game.
The Wildcats pulled down a season-high 44 rebounds and had a 44-33 edge on the glass. Alex Jackson IV grabbed 10 rebounds while Damont Hanton had seven caroms and Wires six caroms.
C-SC (3-9) is scheduled to play an exhibition game this Tuesday, Dec. 9, at Lindenwood University in Saint Charles, Mo. Game time is set for 6 p.m.
