Men's Basketball Drops Conference Road Game

The Culver-Stockton men's basketball team had four players score in double figures in an 85-79 road loss to Peru State College Saturday afternoon at the Al Wheeler Activity Center in Peru, Neb.

The Wildcats shot 52 percent in the first half but still trailed 44-38 at the intermission after the Bobcats ended the period on a 7-0 run.

C-SC cooled off in the second half and saw the deficit climb as high as 12 points in the second half. However a late run by the Wildcats cut the margin to 83-79 with on a layup by Travis Green III with 14 seconds left. However the Bobcats made two free throws in the ensuing possession to seal the victory.

Green came off the bench and ed the Wildcats with 22 points on seven of 13 shooting from the field. He was 8-for-9 from the free throw line. Green also tied for team honors in rebounds with seven caroms.

Ramzi Salem tossed in 16 points while Damont Hanton chipped in with 14 markers and Harrison Lewis added 10 points for the Wildcats. Lewis match Green with seven rebounds.

The Wildcats are slated to close out the first semester with another road game at Ottawa University this Wednesday, Dec. 17, in Ottawa, Kan. Game time is scheduled for 6 p.m.
