Wildcats Fall Behind Early; Lose Final Game of First Half

The Culver-Stockton men's basketball team ended the first half of the 2025-26 season with a 92-69 non-conference loss to Ottawa University at Wilson Field House in Ottawa, Kan., Wednesday night.

The Wildcats conclude the first semester of games with a 3-11 overall record and will have 14 games remaining when they return to play on Jan. 3, 2026, at home against Graceland University. Game time that day is 4 p.m. at Charles Field House.

C-SC gave up 55 first half points to the Braves, who led 55-29 at the intermission. The 55 points allowed in the opening half was the second most first half points allowed this season by the Wildcats, just missing the 57 points allowed to Harris-Stowe in the season opener.

The Wildcats did show some grit in the second half, outscoring the hosts 40-37 and shooting 48 percent from the floor after recording just 35 percent in the first 20 minutes.

Travis Green III came off the bench and ,led all scorer's with 25 points in just 24 minutes of game action. Green was 10-15 from the field, including 1-for-1 from the 3point stripe, and 4-for-4 from the free throw line.

Damont Hanton chipped in with 14 markers while Alex Jackson IV was also in double figures with 11 points. 

C-SC, which was out-rebounded 36-24 in the game, was led by Harrison Lewis on the glass with six caroms. Jackson totaled five rebounds. Lewis and Hanton both registered three steals in the contest.
