Baker Starts Fast, Cruise Past Wildcats

Baker University blitzed the Culver-Stockton men's basketball team early in its Heart of America Athletic Conference game en route to a 90-61 victory at the Collins Center Saturday afternoon in Baldwin City, Kan.
The Wildcats scored the first basket of the game to take a 2-0 lead; however, Baker registered the next 16 points and never looked back in building a 49-26 halftime lead. Baker shot 61 percent from the field in the first half while C-SC struggled at 28 percent.
Damar Jenkins paced the C-SC offensive attack with a team-high 21 points, including five 3-pointers. Damont Hanton chipped in with 15 markers while no other player for the Wildcats scored more than five points.
C-SC is scheduled to play at Missouri Valley College this Wednesday, Jan. 14, in Marshall, Mo. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m.
