Men's Bowling Finishes 15th at Western Shootout
The Culver-Stockton men's bowling team began its season Saturday and Sunday at the Columbia 300 Western Shootout at Western Bowl in Indianapolis, Ind.
The Wildcats finished the first day of six team games with 6015 total pins, an average of 1002.5 pins per game. On Sunday, C-SC registered 3076 total pins in 16 baker games, an average of 192.3 pins per game, to finish with 9,091 pins overall. That was good enough to finish 15th among the 29 teams competing in the tournament.
Individually, Jake Evitts was the top finisher for the Wildcats, totaling 1,279 pins in six games, an average of 213.2 pins per game. Levi Staley also bowled six games and recorded 1,245 pins for an average of 207.5 pins per game. Stayed finished in 43rd place. Phillip Heuser and Griffin Roake also bowled six games for the Wildcats. Heuser finished 74th overall with 1,178 total pins (196.3/game), while Roake finished 82nd overall with an average of 192.5 (1,155 pins).
The Wildcats are right back in actin next weekend, Oct. 18-19, at the Midwest Collegiate Championships in Wichita, Kan.
