Men's Bowling Competes at Leatherneck Classic

The Culver-Stockton men's bowling team finished 27th among 39 teams at the Leatherneck Classic in Rockford, Ill., Nov. 8-9.

The Wildcats recorded a total pin count of 7,154, finishing well behind Mount Mercy which accumulated an 8,550 total pin count.

Individually, the top finisher for the Wildcats was Ashton Weilandich who placed 116th overall with a 923 pin count in five team games, or an average of 184.6. Nathaniel Kiefer placed 120th overall with an average of 183.6, garnering 918 pins in five team games, while Nolan McRill finished 123rd overall with 912 pins and a 182.4 average.

The men's bowling team is scheduled to return to action Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 6-7, at the Cougar Classic in Columbia, Mo. The tournament will be held at AMF Town and Country Lanes.
