Men's Golf Finishes Second at Own Classic; Walker is Third Individually.
The Culver-Stockton College men's golf team shot a two day total of 662 to place second behind Quincy University in its own Wildcat Fall Classic at Spring Lake Country Club Sunday and Monday in Quincy, Ill.
The Wildcats shot 340 the first day and came back on Monday to card a 322 to finish 33 strokes behind the Hawks. Southeastern Community College finished third with a score of 686, 24 strokes behind C-SC.
Individually, Brady Walker continues to play well for the Wildcats, carding a 36-hole total of 13 over 157 to place third in the field. Walker finished eight strokes behind Brayden Buffington of Quincy University, who carded a 5-over 149. Walker registered an 85 the first day and then came back strong on day two with a 72.
Rioth Wort placed seventh in the tournament with a score of 20-over 164, carding identical rounds of 82 each day. Kenny Tucker finished in a tie for ninth place with a score of 24-over 168.
Austin Strubbe concluded the tournament with a score of 32-over 176, placing 16th overall, while Leighton Meeker carded a two-day total of 36-over 180 to place 18th overall. Alten Lowman finished 20th with a score of 38-over 182.
The Wildcats are slated to conclude the fall portion of their schedule Oct. 20-21 at the Heart of America Athletic Conference Preview to be held at Paradise Pointe Golf Complex in Smithville, Mo.
