Men's Golf Starts Spring Season at the Verhille Invitational
The Culver-Stockton men's golf team began its spring campaign at the Verhille Invitational hosted by Mount Mercy University at Old Kinderhook Golf Course in Camdenton, Mo., Mindset and Tuesday.
The Wildcats carded a two-day total of 114-over 690 (348-342) to place seventh among the seven teams competing in the tournament. Northwestern (Iowa) won the team title with a 21-over 597.
Individually, Rioth Wort led the Wildcats with a score of 26-over 170 to finish 35th overall. Kenny Tucker and Brady Walker each carded scored of 28-over 172 to finish in a tie for 37th place. Austin Strubbe placed 40th overall with a score of 32-over 176 while Alten Lowman placed 41st overall with a two-day score of 48-over 192.
The Wildcats are scheduled to compete again in the Hannibal-LaGrange Spring Invitational March 23-24 at Norwoods Country Club in Hannibal, Mo.
