Wildcats Can't Find Equalizer in Loss to No. 2 MNU
The Culver-Stockton men's soccer team scored in the 65th minute but was unable to get the equalizer in the final 25 minutes of a 2-1 loss to second-ranked MidAmerica Nazarene Saturday afternoon at Pioneer Field in Olathe, Kan.
The Pioneers jumped out in front with a goal in the 16th minute, and then added an insurance goal in the 59th minute to take a 2-0 lead.
C-SC scored its only goal with 25 minutes remaining when Ethan Wilkinson-Felgate notched his third goal of the season.
The Wildcats were outshot 19-6 in the contest, including 10-1 in the first half; however, C-SC only had two shots after the Wilkinson-Felgate goal.
C-SC goalkeeper Ricardo Fischbach was smooth in net, making nine saves on the 11 shot attempts on frame.
C-SC returns home to face Graceland University at Ellison Poulton Stadium this Wednesday, Oct. 15. Kickoff is slated for 7:30 p.m.
