Men's Cross Country Runs to Fourth Place Finish at Trojan Invitational
The Culver-Stockton men's cross country team recorded a total team time of 2:57.12 to place fourth at the 3rd annual Trojan Invitational hosted by Hannibal-LaGrange University Saturday morning in Hannibal, Mo.
The University of Missouri-St. Louis (UMSL) won the men's event with a time of 2:16.50 and scored 23 points. The Wildcats garnered 116 points.
Individually, Jailan Reynaga was the top C-SC finisher, placing 20th overall with a time of 30:52.7. Shivneel Dutt completed the 8-kilometer course in a time of 31:12.9 to place 21st overall, while Blake Thompson was 24th overall with a time of 32:18.3.
Chase Lake and Russell Amberson rounded out the Wildcat quintet with Chase finishing 28th overall in a time of 32:58.3, and Amberrson playing 44th overall in a time of 49:49.6.
The Wildcats are scheduled to compete in the Greenville College Classic in Hillsboro, Ill., next Friday. The men are slated to race eight kilometers at 4:15 p.m.
