The Culver-Stockton College softball team split a pair of games during the first day of the Drury Classic at Meador Park in Springfield, Mo., Saturday.
The Wildcats began the day with a 4-3 victory over Baptist Bible in the morning before suffering a 7-0 loss to NCAA Division II Drury University at night.
Against Baptist Bible, C-SC jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the top of the third inning and added two more runs in the sixth inning to take a 4-0 lead to the final inning.
The Patriots rallied for three runs in the bottom of the seventh before Aspyn Harrison relieved Lauren Sinks and induced a goroudball for the final out to end the game.
Sinks earned the victory, going 6.2 innings, scattering four hits and allowing three runs. Sinks walked four and struck out 10. Harrison faced three batters, walking two before recording the final out for her first save.
