The Culver-Stockton College softball team began its home slate Wednesday afternoon with a non-conference doubleheader loss to Saint Ambrose University at Himsl Field.
The Wildcats registered three extra base hits among the five hits they recorded in a 5-2 loss in the opening game. Myah Briese drilled a solo home run for the Wildcats's first run while Ryley Pecina added a RBI triple for the seconds run. Lacey Stamper chipped in with a double.
In the nightcap, Stamper led off the bottom of the first with a double, but that would be the last hit by the Wildcats until Lauren Waller singled with one out in the fifth inning and hosts trailing 8-0.
The Wildcats (3-15) are scheduled to play at Hannibal-LaGrange University this Saturday, March 15, in Hannibal, Mo. The first game is slated to start at 12 p.m.
