Softball Ends Season with Most Victoroes since 2019
The Culver-Stockton College softball team ended the regular season with a doubleheader loss to seventh-ranked Missouri Baptist University Tuesday afternoon in St. Louis, Mo.
The Wildcats were no-hit in a 25-0 loss in the first game before collecting just two hits in a 16-1 setback in the nightcap.
The Wildcats never threatened in either game. The Spartans plated 10 first inning runs in the the first game, and then followed that up with an 11-run inning in the third inning of game one.
In the second game, Missouri Baptist scored five times in the first inning, six times in the second and five more in the third to complete the sweep.
Despite the lop-sided losses, C-SC concludes the season with its first winning season campaign since 2019. The Wildcats' end with a 26-24 overall record and a 13-15 mark in the Heart of America Athletic Conference. The 26 victories are the most since they won 32 in 2019.
