Wildcats Put Four in Double Figures; Oetting Tops 1,000 Career Points in Victory

Four starters scored in double figures to help the Culver-Stockton women's basketball team post a 71-66 Heart of America Athletic Conference road victory at Central Methodist University Wednesday night in Fayette, Mo.

The victory gives the Wildcats a sweep of the season series with the Eagles and improves C-SC's record to 13-14 overall and 10-13 in the Heart. The victory also guarantees the Wildcats the seventh seed in next week's conference tournament.

Avery Oetting led the offensive attack with 19 points, including the 1,000th point of her career. Oetting is the 27th player in program history, and the second this season, to eclipse the 1000-point plateau. Katie Webb, who added 10 points against the Eagles, scored her 1,000th point earlier this season.

Misora Nambara chipped in with 15 points and a game-high six assists, while Olivia Hopp was the fourth starter in double figures with 10 markers.

C-SC shot 44 percent (24-54) from the field and was 19-for-24 from the free throw line, including  5-for-6 in the final 63 seconds of the game. The Wildcats also out-rebounded the Eagles 36-30 in the game.

The Wildcats are scheduled to conclude the regular season this Saturday, Feb. 22, at Missouri Valley College in Marshall, Mo. Game time is slated for 2 p.m.
