Moore Adds Second Heart Player of the Week Honor
Culver-Stockton College junior Rachel Moore earned the Heart of America Athletic Conference Women's Bowler of the Week for the second time this season after her performance at the NAIA West Open in Lawrence, Kan. last weekend.
Moore, of Keokuk, Iowa (Keokuk HS), earned her sixth career player of the week honor after claiming her second individual championship. Moore totaled 1,102 pins in her five games for an average of 220.4 pins per game.
Moore opened the day by rolling a 255 game and then followed that up with 278 and 208 games in games two and three, respectively. She rolled a 182 game in the fourth game before ending her day with a 179 game in the fifth game.
Moore, who earned all-tournament accolades for her top five finish, has four all-tournament nods this season and 16 all-tournament selections in her three-year career.
As a team, the Wildcats finished third overall among the 17 women's teams competing in the tournament with 9,097 total pins gathered between the five team games Saturday and the 25 baker games on Sunday.
C-SC is scheduled to compete in the Hoosier Classic this Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 14-15, at Western Bowl in Indianapolis, Ind.
