Women's Golf Begins Spring Slate at Spring Break Invitational
The Culver-Stockton College women's golf team began its spring season at the Spring Break Invitational hosted by Lawrence Tech University. Th tournament was played on the lake Course at Grand National Golf Club in Opelika, Ala.
The Wildcats finished 11th out of 11 teams but was unable to post a team score on the second day after one player did not finish the round. C-SC carded a team total of 416 on the first day and had a 296 the second day among the three players competing.
Emily Grodjesk was the top finisher for the Wildcats, placing 43rd overall with a 36-over 180. Allie Hayden placed 50th overall with a two total of 193 or 49-over par.
Kyndall Crim got off to a sluggish start the first day, using 133 strokes, but rebounded nicely in the second round and improved by 26 strokes to finish 59th overall with a 96-over 240. Natalie Ames carded a 26-over 98 the first day but did not post a score on the second day.
C-SC is scheduled to play in the Park University Staco Classic March 25-26 at the Deuce Golf Club in Parkville, Mo.
