Women's Soccer Drops 4-1 decision at No. 6 Missouri Valley

The Culver-Stockton women's soccer team suffered its fourth straight loss Saturday, falling to sixth-ranked Missouri Valley College 4-1 at Gregg-Mitchell Field in Marshall, Mo.

The Wildcats trailed 1-0 at the intermission but a pair of goals in the first two minutes, 33 seconds of the second half put C-SC in a 3-0 hole. The first goal came with one minute 37 seconds into the half, and then 33 seconds later, the Vikings struck again.

The hosts added its final goal in the 64th minute before the Wildcats' Audrey Glasmann ruined the shutout with her first collegiate goal in the 74th minute. Samantha Stone assisted on Glasmann's tally.

The Wildcats were outshot 16-8 in the game, including 8-3 in the second half, and the Vikings held a 4-2 advantage in corner kicks. Breah Morris led the Wildcats with two shots on goal. Alayna Chandler-Gutierrez also registered two shots overall and one on goal.

C-SC goalkeeper Isabella Williamson made her first career start and stopped five of the shots directed at her by the Vikings.

The Wildcats are scheduled to travel to Des Moines, Iowa, this Wednesday, Sept. 24, to battle Grand View University. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m.
