Women's Soccer Blanked by Benedictine Despite Outshooting Ravens

The Culver-Stockton women's soccer team outshot Benedictine 11-8, but it was the Ravens that came away with a 3-0 Heart of America Athletic Conference victory at Ellison Poulton Stadium Saturday night.

The Ravens scored the only goal of the first half and it appeared the game may be a nail-biter as the second half began. However, Benedictine netted two goals in a span of one minute, 41 seconds of the second half to put the game away.

C-SC managed just three shots on goal with Lexi Clark, Lola Weise and Isabel Herrera registering those shots.

With two games remaining in the regular season, the Wildcats find themselves one point behind Missouri Baptist University for the eighth and final playoff spot. C-SC is scheduled to host William Woods University this Friday, Oct. 24, for homecoming and senior night. Kickoff is slated for 4:30 p.m. at Ellison Poulton Stadium.
