Three Women's Soccer Players Named to Academic All-District Team
The 2025 Academic All-District® Women's Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC) were released Tuesday afternoon and recognized the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
Three Culver-Stockton College players garnered Academic All-District® honors. Named to the list were senior Alayna Chandler-Gutierrez (Valley Center, Calif. / Valley Center HS), sophomore Lexi Clark (Pacific, Mo. / Pacific HS) and senior Maggie Tuxhorn (Rochester, Ill. / Rochester HS).
Academic All-District® honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees are scheduled to be announced in December.
Chandler-Gutierrez was named a Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete for the third straight year in 2025. An all-district pick in 2023, Chandler-Gutierrez tallied three goals and added a team-high six assists for 12 total points. The six assists were tied for eighth in the Heart. She totaled a team-best 45 shots this season. She was named to the all-conference team as a third team selection. Chandler-Gutierrez in majoring in English Education.
For her career, Chandler-Gutierrez garnered 24 career goals and added nine assists for 57 career points. She recorded seven career game-winning goals. The 24 career goals rank fifth on the school's all-time list. Her 57 career points ranks seventh all-time.
Clark was named a Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete in 2025 for the first time. She scored four goals, including one game-winning goal, and chipped in five assists for a total of 13 points this season. Clark is pursuing a degree in biological chemistry.
Tuxhorn was named to the all-district team for the second time and was recognized as a Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete for a third consecutive season in 2025. Tuxhorn moved to center back this season and was voted defensive player of the year by her teammates.
In her career, Tuxhorn appeared in 71 matches and registered five goals and three assists for 13 career points. She is majoring in nursing.
