Carmack Leads Wildcat Women at Les Duke Invitational
The Culver-Stockton women's cross country team competed in the Les Duke Invitational at Grinnell College Saturday morning in Grinnell, Iowa.
The Wildcats had three runners competing in the event with Malia Carmack leading the way with a 58th place finish. Carmack completed the six kilometer course in 28:21.8. The winning time was 23:23.1 by Maddy Stevens of Central (Iowa).
Also competing with 89 other runners were Delaney Straus, who placed 59th overall with a time of 28:24.2, and Emma Berry, who finished 62nd overall with a time of 28:57.7.
The Wildcats are back in action on Saturday, Oct, 4, at the Seminole Valley Stampede at Mount Mercy University in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The women's race is slated to begin at 10:45 a.m.
