Straus Represents Wildcats at National Cross Country Championships
Senior Delaney Straus of the Culver-Stockton women's cross country team competed in the NAIA Cross Country National Championship Friday morning at Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee, Fla.
The 46th annual NAIA Women's Cross Country National Championship featured a total of 330 runners in the 6-kilometer race.
Straus, who qualified for the national meet after placing ninth individually at the Heart of America Athletic Conference meet Nov. 8 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, registered a time of 23 minutes, 58 seconds to finish 212th overall.
This was Straus' second consecutive trip to the national cross country championships. She finished 230th last year at the national championships in Columbia, Mo.
The NAIA Cross Country National Championships officially concluded the 2025 season. The indoor track & field season officially opens on Dec. 5 at the Cornell Winter Classic in Mount Vernon, Iowa.
