Wildcats Drops Second Straight Conference Home Game
Central Methodist University shot 59 percent from the field in handing the the Culver-Stockton men's basketball team its fifth straight loss overall and second straight hime conference loss Tuesday afternoon at Charles Field House.
The Eagles shot 54 percent in building a 41-27 halftime lead and then followed up by connecting on 63 percent if its shots in the second half en route to an 89-64 victory. The Wildcats were limited to 40 percent shooting for the game, including a going 5-for-22 from the 3-point stripe.
Damont Hanton scored a season high 17 points to lead the Wildcat offensive attack. Hanton made seven of his 12 shot attempts, including one three-pointer, and two free throws. Hanton also led the Wildcats with nine rebounds. Damar Jenkins was the only other C-SC player to reach double figures in scoring, garnering 13 points.
The Wildcats return to action this Monday, Dec. 1, for a non-conference game against Hannibal-LaGrange University. Game time is slated for 7:30 p.m. at Charles Field House.
