Men's Basketball Toppled by William Penn
The Culver-Stockton men's basketball team shot 37 percent from the field in a 79-66 loss to William Penn University Wednesday night at Charles Field House.
The Wildcats shot 30 percent in the first half and trailed 38-31 at the intermission but rebounded to shoot 44 percent in the second half. Defensively, C-SC held the Statesmen, who are second in the conference, to 38 percent shooting.
Damont Hanton registered his second double-double of the year to lead the Wildcat attack. Hanton scored 15 points and pulled down 10 rebounds. Kamren Wires scored a season high 15 markers while Damar Jenkins came on late to finish with 13 points.
C-SC is scheduled to play its season finale this Saturday, Feb. 21, at home against Clarke University. Game time is slated for 4 p.m. at Charles Field House.
