Quick Start Helps Wildcats Earn Road Victory at William Penn
A fast beginning propelled the Culver-Stockton College women's basketball team to an 80-68 Heart of America Athletic Conference victory over William Penn University Wednesday night in Oskaloosa, Iowa.
The victory was the first for the Wildcats away from Charles Field House this season, improving to 1-4 on the road. C-SC, which has now won two straight games for the first time this season, is 3-4 overall and 2-1 in the conference.

C-SC shot 50 percent (7-14) from the field while limiting the hosts to just two field goals on 14 attempts in building an 18-6 lead after one quarter. An 11-2 run over the final 6:25 of the quarter helped C-SC get separation.

Four of the five Wildcat starters reached double figures in the victory led by sophomore Avery Oetting with 17 points. Senior graduate student Aaliyah Ortiz and sophomore Nevaiah Bell-Tenner added 15 markers, while junior Katie Webb chipped in with 11 points.
